Mid-Atlantic
School fundraisers for the Mid-Atlantic, with a September that actually works.
Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia and DC. Schools here start late August or after Labor Day, so the fall window is tight. Brian plans around it.
Why Mid-Atlantic schools pick a product sale over a fun run
A fun run needs a track, a date, volunteers and good weather. A two-week product sale needs a kickoff, a link and a prize program. In districts where the fall calendar is already crowded with back-to-school nights and the first marking period, the sale fits in the gaps. Band and chorus programs with December concerts and spring trips use the fall window to fund both.
The calendar in the Mid-Atlantic
- ✓Fall: second week of September through the first week of October.
- ✓Spring: February through early March, ahead of testing.
- ✓Delivery: pre-sorted to the school in about two weeks after close; direct-to-door orders ship as they come in.
Who this is for
Elementary and middle schools, PTAs and PTOs, high school bands, choruses, cheer squads and booster clubs. Public, charter, Catholic and independent. If the group has a goal and a few parents willing to share a link, it works.

Questions people ask
Our district starts after Labor Day. Is a fall sale still realistic?
Yes. Launch the second or third week of September, finish the first week of October, and the kickoff materials are in hand before the first bell. Brian builds the calendar backward from your start date.
What about the spring?
February and early March, before spring break and state testing. The spring catalog is a different set of products, so a school can run both.
Does the online store help in a commuter suburb?
It is the whole game there. Parents share a link at work and with family out of state, and orders ship straight to the buyer. Nobody carries a box on the train.
