North Carolina
School fundraisers in North Carolina, run from Greensboro since 1994.
This is home. Brian started Mr. Money Fundraising in Greensboro in 1994, and most of the fall 2026 results on this site came from North Carolina schools.
What North Carolina schools raised this fall
Charlotte
K-8 charter, 1,400 students, $45,000 in eighteen days, October 1 to 18.
Lexington
Elementary, 600 students, $35,000, September 8 to 25.
Reidsville
Middle school, 830 students, $26,000, September 2 to 19.
Asheville
Middle school band, 150 kids, $15,000. The best result for its size this fall.
Those four are on the results page with the rest of the fall 2026 list. Forty sales, more than $700,000, and most of them inside North Carolina. Brian has worked from Greensboro since 1994, and the state is still where most of his phone calls come from.
When North Carolina schools start, and when to sell
North Carolina has a school calendar law. Traditional public districts open no earlier than the Monday closest to August 26, and most of them open that week. Charter schools, year-round schools and districts with a waiver go earlier, some in the first half of August. Check your district calendar before you pick dates.
- ✓Fall, late August districts. Launch the week after Labor Day, close the last week of September. Reidsville and Lexington ran exactly that.
- ✓Fall, early start charters. Late August through mid September, or the first three weeks of October once the back-to-school rush is over. Charlotte ran October 1 to 18.
- ✓Spring. The last week of January through the first week of March. Spring break lands in March or April and EOG testing fills May, so the spring sale closes before either.
Brian builds the two weeks around the book fair, picture day and the first report card. He has seen every version of the North Carolina calendar and knows where the clean weeks are.
Where Brian works in North Carolina
Charlotte and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Raleigh, Cary and Wake County, the biggest district in the state. Durham and Chapel Hill. Greensboro, High Point and Guilford County, Brian’s own backyard. Winston-Salem and Forsyth County. Fayetteville and Cumberland County. Wilmington, Asheville, Hickory, Concord, Gastonia, Greenville and the coast. Big city districts, small county systems, charters, Catholic schools and private academies. If the school has a roster and a goal, the program fits.
Band, chorus and cheer in North Carolina
October Saturdays in North Carolina belong to marching band. Programs compete every weekend of the month, and the entry fees, buses and spring trip deposits all land in the same ninety days. A fall sale that closes by late September puts the money in the account before the first contest. The Asheville band did it with 150 kids.
Chorus programs chase Honors Chorus auditions in the fall and trips in April. Cheer squads have the NCHSAA invitational in December and competition season after that. Each of them fits a fall window. Spring sales fund the next season.
How the two weeks run in a North Carolina school
Brian sends the kickoff packet and the share links before launch day. The kickoff is five minutes on the morning announcements or at the first PTA meeting, and every family has a link by that afternoon. Day seven is the midpoint push, where Brian reads the numbers and tells you exactly who to nudge. Day fourteen closes the store. The VIP Duck collectibles keep the kids chasing the next level the whole time, and the prize program tracks itself in the admin site, so nobody at the school keeps a spreadsheet.
Zero upfront cost, no minimum order, and the fall and spring catalogs are different products, so a school can run both in the same year. Elementary schools, middle schools, PTAs, PTOs, bands, choruses, cheer squads and booster clubs all run the same program. The day-by-day version is on how it works.
Shipping to North Carolina schools
Giving Market ships pre-sorted orders to the school about two weeks after the sale closes. Online store orders ship direct to supporters, so the aunt in Raleigh and the grandparents in Florida get their boxes at home. Brian tracks every shipment from Greensboro and handles any shortage himself.
North Carolina is part of the Southeast region. The whole fall 2026 list is on the results page.

Questions people ask
When do most North Carolina schools run the fall sale?
The week after Labor Day through the last week of September for traditional districts. Charters and early-start schools run late August or the first half of October. Brian sets the dates around your calendar.
Does Brian visit schools in North Carolina?
The program runs by phone, email and the online store, same as it does in every state. Greensboro is home, so he is close, and the sale does not depend on a visit.
Can a band or chorus program run this on its own?
Yes. The Asheville middle school band raised $15,000 with 150 kids this fall. Bands, choruses, cheer squads and booster clubs run the same program on a smaller roster.
What does it cost to start?
Nothing. Zero upfront cost and no minimum order. The catalogs, kickoff materials, online store and prize program are included.
